"The design of the 20 cm long spoon in polymethylmethacrylate was obtained from a plaster cast of the inside of a standard jar: the tip of the spoon has the same radius of curvature as the jar, the middle section is flat so it adheres perfectly to the cylindrical wall of the jar, and the top part of the spoon bowl has the same curvature as the join between the cylinder of the jar and its neck."
